Hero Mindmine launches
City Operations

Hero Mindmine, a part of the Hero Group's corporate services division,
set up for training prospective call center representatives, launched
its operations in Mumbai on Wednesday. The group claims to have
spend Rs 65 crore out of a budget of Rs 100 crore earmarked for
setting up training facilities for the call center players. ET's
edition dated December 28, 00 reported the Hero group's plans
to invest about Rs 150 crore over the next couple of years in
call centers, training and education for IT-enabled services and
implementation of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning).
Furthermore, the group's Corporate Services division had also
acquired a stake in the First Ring - a US-based call center company-thus
enabling it to enter the call center business. Mindmine claims
to have trained 700 people so far, for both corporates and call
centers players such as Daksh, GE and Spectramind. Some of its
corporate customers include GE, Inox Global, E-Bookers, RICO,
Polaris Software, Frontline Soft. Mindmine currently runs training
outfits in Chandigarh, Delhi and Gurgaon and has plans to set
up a similar center at Hyderabad in the near future. The company
intends to expand its existing network of centers by appointing
franchisees.
